And the submissions keep rolling in...

Hello filmmakers! The film submissions keep rolling in and we're up to five titles already. We have a variety of genres represented so far: fiction, thriller, horror, romantic comedy, and a music video. Keep the submissions coming in (electronically or physically) and we'll have a great convention in June.

Waking Up for Indie Film Con 2014

Hello filmmakers! We're waking up and getting ready for the second annual Independent Filmmakers Convention! We're looking forward to seeing old friends and making new friends this year.

Mark your calendars for June 6th through 8th and plan on submitting your film (in the near future, we're not ready for that yet)!

We had 155 attendees last year, let's see if we can beat that record this time around. Please remember to bring a friend or three and come ready to enjoy some films, network with other filmmakers, and even learn a few things at our panels.

We'll be posting more information in the next few days/weeks and we're looking forward to Indie Film Con 2014!

Thank You Everyone!

Indie Film Con issued 155 tickets for the event and that's outstanding for our first year! 89 of those were screenings only and 66 were All Events. We're assessing the event and if you have any sort of feedback you'd like to give, please don't hesitate to post on our Facebook page or send us an email or Tweet.

Update: Parking for Indie Film Con

Parking options
Hello everyone! Indie Film Con is only a few short days away and the thing that's on everyone's mind is... Parking!

The map here shows the closest parking options, the IU Cinema (where all the screenings are), and the Radio/TV Building (where all the panels, workshops, and roundtables are).

After emailing with the university parking operations people, we've been advised to encourage everyone to make sure of the upper deck of the Jordan Avenue parking garage (the right most green arrow). This upper deck is free the entire weekend, though if you arrive before 6:00 pm on Friday you'll still have to take a gate ticket to get into the garage. After 6:00 pm on Friday the exit should open up and you won't have to pay anything to come and go.

The next best option is the surface lots at the Indiana Memorial Union (the left most green arrow). These are a pay by the hour lot, but they open up near midnight so if you're staying until the conclusion of the late screenings on Friday and Saturday you should be able to leave the lot for free.

You'll notice the two big red X marks over the parking lot just to the north of the IU Cinema, that's because there's a big construction project happening at the moment that has pretty much taken over this entire parking lot.

Please note that Indie Film Con won't be able to assist with parking nor any parking tickets that you may collect while attending the con, we're sorry for this but it just isn't in the budget.
